We originally ordered these last year and were so disappointed when they weren't produced. The Ortega is one of their best-fitting pants, in our humble opinion. We've seen a striped canvas in the past, but these just seem to feel and look different. These are carpenter-style pant with a double knee we're not used to seeing at the shop. It has these stunning Japanese herringbone pocket bags that they've doubled down on to create the double knee. You'll see some double-needle stitching on the front of the pants that indicates where that knee lining is located. We think it's a wonderful compromise for those who want double knee, but don't want it to be so front-facing and visible. The pre-distressing one-wash treatment they did really brings out the color and softness of this fabric. There are incredible details all over these pants that you can explore in the pictures.

Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 33 in this pant. In the past, he always tried to squeeze into small waist sizes to get the leg opening right, but the truth is getting the waist right is the most important part. The legs will form the way they need to, so just focus on getting that waist right. The Ortega is a roomy, comfy fitting pant so you don't have to size up unless that waist is reading small to you. Tommy is 5'10, 165lbs with a 33-34" waist.
